Laurina, the Reunion. A coffee of excellence. Delicacy and remarkable complexity.
Grand cru Bourbon Pointu’s particularity resides in by its dominance of red fruits. Its balanced, full and fine cup offers a length in mouth that pairs perfectly with the end of a good meals.
The Bourbon Pointu (Laurina) is one of the oldest variety of Arabica in the world. Forgotten because not productive, low in caffeine and sensitive to diseases, this variety is now coming back to life thanks to some men led by Frédéric Descroix and an exceptional terroir, the Piton des Neiges (Snow Peak). L’Arbre à Café promotes his work by importing it in mainland France.
The Bourbon Pointu is only produced in a few hundreds of kilos and concentrates all the attention from growing to sorting. Its oblong beans, fineness and delicacy offer an intense pleasure.
