The Kona of Hualalai is an intense coffee, round and full-bodied that pleases by its generosity. Very structured and rich, its earthy aromas make it a perfect coffee for desserts and during winter.

AN EXCEPTIONAL COFFEE

Located on the West side of Hualalai volcano, Pauline McGrath’s farm beneficiates from the best conditions of the Big Island to grow coffee: volcanic substrate, altitude, dense humus strengthened by bio-dynamic, constant ventilation and natural shade. Pauline is one of the only producer using bio-dynamic methods in the archipelago, and she has made of her small farm a true trial land in this field.

A RARE COFFEE

The Kona, natural mutant of Typica, is an indigenous variety from Hawaiian Islands. L’Arbre à Café is engaged in a solid partnership with Pauline as the entire small harvest of the farm is booked for few years.
